Zone:  6-8

Height:  90-120cm [3-4ft]

Spread:  120cm [4ft]

Bloom:  Small, pale pink flowers cluster at junctions of leaves & stems in summer, followed by bright purple bead-like berries in fall that persist all winter

Foliage:  Deciduous;  bright green

Light:  Sun, part shade

Water:  Ample in summer to dry in winter

Soil:  Fertile, well-drained

Maintenance:  Will form a colony with runners or layered stems.  Keep to a tidy single shrub with fall pruning and removal of unwanted rootings.

Use:  Lovely weeping shape for a shrub border with colourful fall and winter interest.  Cut stems with fruits to dry for the fall vase arrangement. Allowed to spread, a colony will help to prevent soil erosion.
